About David

I'm an entrepreneur with a background in business, I live by the motto "It's your life, don't let anyone tell you how to live it." and I'm taking on Mumbai with all the gusto I can muster. I would like to work with a person who has the same attitude and approach.

  1. Atoms with 7, 8, or 7 protons, neutrons, or electrons have a neutral charge.

There are eight neutrons and seven protons. The components of an atomic number are as follows.

If an atom had a positive or negative charge, the balance between its protons and electrons would be off. Due to the same amount of protons and electrons, the atom has a neutral charge of 7 – 7 = 0, ruling out the possibility that it is an ion.

In a nucleus of a neutral atom, the number of protons is equal to the number of electrons. An atom with no net charge is said to be neutral.

  2. Z = 8 so there are 8 protons. A – Z = 15 -8 = 7 so there are 7 neutrons. Moreover the atom is electrically neutral so there are as many electrons as protons so there are 8 electrons. The oxygen atom is therefore composed of 8 protons, 7 neutrons and 8 electrons.

  3. In the nitrogen atom there is 1 nucleus made up of 14 nucleons (7 protons and 7 neutrons) and 7 electrons. For isotope 14, the nucleus consists of 7 protons and 7 neutrons. For isotope 15, the nucleus consists of 7 protons and 8 neutrons.
