The decision to move in together has been made by Nina and Patrick. Nina finally learns the name of the man who is her biological father. The relationship between Nina and Patrick comes to an end, and Patrick makes the decision to move on to another hospital. Patrick and Nina get back together in the penultimate episode of the season, which is Nina’s 35th birthday party, and find out that they are going to have a child together.
Due to Ten’s production cost-cutting efforts, John Edwards revealed on October 3rd, 2014 that Offspring would not return for a sixth season in 2015. The Herald Sun announced on August 30, 2015 that a sixth season of Offspring would be produced, marking the show’s comeback after a two-year break.

After a hiatus of over two years, the show is back, picking up 18 months after the events of season five. Nina and Leo have been dating for some time. Billie has been overseeing Mick’s UK tour as tour manager, while Jimmy, the youngest sibling, keeps things moving at his popular Mexican restaurant while his wife, Zara, goes to school for medicine.
