Spray the screw with WD-40 Multi-Use Product to make it simpler to remove, and then lift the handle off of the stem to separate it from the screw. If you have been successful in removing the packing nut with your tool, you should now be able to see the stem.

Applying WD-40 Penetrant spray is a last resort if the aerator does not budge despite gentle movement back and forth. This will eliminate any resistance in a short amount of time and make removal much simpler. After they have been removed, the aerator pieces can be soaked in a solution of vinegar, which will help release any mineral deposits that have built up.

Do you have a faucet that leaks or runs slowly because it’s clogged? First, you will need to spray a good amount of WD-40 into the faucet of the bathtub.
